AMAZON HEADQUARTERS

In the basement of the Amazon’s HQ is the impressive Commuter Village. A basement for employees to park and maintain their bikes, use the washroom facilities, and secure belongings securely. The key challenges were to help employees navigate the space more easily, and inject colour and personality into the space.

A way finding system was created by Luke, to divide the space into different zoned areas, using colour on the designated bike racks and floor areas. The way finding ran from the walls up onto the ceiling, clearly leading people to the different zones and facilities.
As well as the main basement area, the locker rooms feature Luke Smile’s ‘Smile Sans’ typeface, creating a unique and eye catching space for employees to enjoy.
